Lily is the happiest baby on the block

Lily is just such a super fun baby, and every day she is expanding her horizon. She love to play, love to practice talking, crawling and of course standing. Now that she can go from her belly up to a sitting position, we find her in her crib sitting up and holding on to her Schnullers and her sleeping toy (her favorite night time cuddle toy is that little trippy plastic ball that we inherited from EJ)

Tres Agaves...(yumm)

the 3 of us went for some super yummy lunch at the new Mexican Restaurant "
Tres Agaves", delicious food and margharitas (Lily sucked delightfully on her doggie biscuit). Lily becomes now so much better with the dinner outings, because she can actually entertain herself much better. Or you give her something to eat, that will always make her happy (very happy!!)

Sushi and karaoke (35th week - 1/20 - 1/26)

1/23
Ah, my 26th birtdhay, and I got to spend it shopping, and eating at Momo's, and eat crab for dinner - perfect day!!!

1/21
big preparation for Sushi and Karaoke (Stuart went all out for my birthday, and bought 14 pounds of fish (form Royal Hawaiian) and a Karaoke machine. It all started with "A boy named Sue" (by Brian Schumann) and ended with "Mr Sandman" (Stuart, Andres, Andrew and Charles). Thank you Stuart, Lily (who had to give up sleep for that night) and to all my friends, this was one of my favorite parties.

1/20
Enjoyed a super yummy dinner at Cajun Pacific (seared duck breast on deep fried grit cakes, French onion soup, Boeuf Bourguignon, Bouillabaisse, and of course the infamous bread pudding with Whiskey chocolate sauce - to die for!!!), and Lily love watching the cooks in the kitchen. And of course Katie looked stunning, 5 months pregnant (Her due date is 5/25)

Cold January (34th week 1/13 - 1/19)

1/17
We just learned that Lily's best friend Sara has a respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) - a nasty, long lasting (yet not uncommoon) respitory virus. Poor little one :(

1/15
Spent the weekend caring for little sicky (sniffles and cough)

1/13
Kris Kringle at Kristina and Andres' house was lots of fun, thanks for hosting and thanks for my Xmas gift, Charles!!! Lily was a super trooper and slept in her little travel pen (despite her cold), until I got too tired and had to leave at 11:30 (late-nighter for mama!)

January (33rd week - 01/06 - 01/12)

1/11
She slept 12 hours last night, and we didn't have to go in once!!!

1/08
lily slept most of the night on her tummy, and she actually slept very well. Who would have thought. She cried for a little, but not as bad as I thought it would be.
We went for a long walk in the morning, just around the neighborhood, and I really got to appreciate Potrero Hill, it is such a cool place, views of Twin Peaks, downtown, I walked by Kari and Andrew's place, I passed Nicci and Charles's area, met some other parents, and Lily got to sleep through most of it.
Went to Elizabeth's baby shower at Jenny's place, where we got to hang with all the amazing women we know, it was great seeing those girls.

1/07
Sara's first birthday party - so much fun!!!!
and we learned that it is ok for Lily to sleep on her belly, so we will let her cry it out tonight, won't be fun :(

back to work (32nd week - 12/30 - 01/05 )

01/05
Papa and his new eyes got back from Florida last night - and Lily is stil waking up lots, and ended up in bed with us. We will have to start letting her cry at night, but the problem is she started to roll over on her tummy, and then she gets all freaked out and wakes up even more.

01/02
Back to work and Lily had her first day with Jacky -and cried almost all day long. But she will get used to it, just like I will get used to my daily schedule :)

01/01
Got up at 4:30 - 6, then slept until 8:30. Tried to deal with organizing, but it is pretty hard when you are alone with a little baby. WE went then to New Years Day brunch at Kari, which was super yummy and fun to see everyone and the babies: Sara (who wore the matching leopard print to Lily's outfit), Quincy, and Zoe.
And my luggage got delivered at 12:30 AM!

12/31
New Years Eve: Lily and I went back home, it took us 13 hours and lots of patience to get back. She was great on the first flight to Denver, played with the flight attendant, and had fun. Second flight from Denver to SFO she was just too tired to deal, and got really cranky. And then they lost one piece of luggage and we had to deal with the baggage claim at the airport and then with a huge line of people waiting for a cab - and I was sure traveling on NYE will be a piece of cake, ha!! We got home at 10 PM, and went pretty much straight to bed. Poor little Lily!

12/30
It was the perfect Florida day, and we all went to the pool. The water was super nice and warm and Lily actually got to play in it for a long time, she loved it!
