Memorial Day in Bethesda

We had a great day with our friends Antoinette (whom we met at Jazzfest late night, about 7
years ago) and her husband Bern (it also was his birthday) and their 2 kids Jasper (5 and Evan (3).

Leaving for the East coast

Thanks to our good friend we didn't have to deal with putting all our luggage (3 suitcases, stroller, carseat) in a cab, but got dropped off at the airport -thanks, Kari!
Of course there were problems at the check-in and it took much longer as expected. But thenit was all pretty easy: Lily slept (after a little struggle) for half of the flight to Denver, and the same thing for the flight to Washington DC. We finally arrived at our friend's Antoinette and Bern's house at midnight - after 11 hours travel time (kind of like flying to Germany :)

Lily got a little pink car for her birthday - which we tried out in our neighborhood, and she absolutely loved it

We took the day off and went to hike on Mt Tam (just across the Golden Gate Bridge), and Stuart got to test-hike Lily in the Deuter BackPack which I got him for his birthday - and Lily loved it
