Lily loves her DVDs

Since we are going on the 20 hours fun tour to Europe (Croatia then Munich) we decided to buy a portable DVD player, and of course we had to test it out - and now Lily will point at every DVD she sees and wants "more". Yes, the little girl is a TV junky :)

Our poor nanny broke her ankle :(

Jackie broke her ankle ice skating (in August) with her daughter, and will be out for at least 4 -5 weeks. We scrambled to find a replacement, and had a friend of Tina's cleaning lady take care of the girls for one week, while we found another day care that would take the 2 girls until Jackie is better. While I was first a little skeptical, it turns out that Lily and Fae just love Cat's little daycare environment. She has a bunny (Coco) that is roaming around, and loves the kids, and has lots and lots of toys, which is great for Lily. Still, we can't wait for Jackie to get better, and take care of our little ones.

Leaving baby-hood, and entering the toddler phase

It seems Lily has actually moved on to the next big phase, away from being a cute little baby. She seems to us now more like a little person, with a lot of opinion and personality, which is a lot of fun to watch - and sometimes a little painful. She started throwing herself on the floor, screaming when something bothers her - like when you take sharp knifes away from her :)
And she still thinks everything is super funny, when you try to say "no" she just cracks up, so it is hard for us to be the serious parents, when she is just so super fun and silly. But we have to learn to be a little more firm, otherwise we will be in trouble soon.

Nights are good

Currently we are having great success with her sleeping, she goes down easily, sometimes we leave the room while she is still awake and we hear no crying when we leave, and even if she cries, it stops after 3 minutes. And then we don't hear her until 6 or so, when she wakes up, stirs a little and then goes back to sleep until 6:30 or 7. Knowing these things don't last, we truly enjoy these days with uninterrupted sleep.
