UTI?

As it turns out, Lily might have had a unrineray tract infection. She had a fever of 104 for a week, and after 5 days they put her on antibiotics, and the fever went down after 7 days. They took some urin samples, but because they didn't use the catheder (yiikes!) the sample was not super clear, so who knows what she had. But she is happy and healthy again, just a little skinnier.

Another round of a bad chest cold

Lily caught another round of a cold, nasty little chest cold, which causes her to cough so hard at night that we were worried she couldn't breath. Poor little munch:( Nonetheless she is her usual silly funny self, which is nice and also a sign that she is ok after all.

Family Appreciation Day

Today was San Francisco family appreciation day, which meant that pretty much all of the major attractions were free for SF families. We took advantage and dragged our little sicky to the Exploratorium, which was lots of fun - even though we think Lily is a little too young to fully appreciate the place. But we will be back, because regardless of cold and being too young, Lily was fascinated with all the things she saw.

ABC..

Lily's latest vocabulary is "ABC".... and she is now into books and walks. We have to sit with her and read the books over and over and over again - and she amazes us with the words she knows: cake, house, tree, star, horse, birdy, walk, book, milk, broccoli, peas, noodles, ...

And as soon as she finishes her milk in the morning she says 'shoes" and then "walk" which means one of us has to go outside with her and walk up and down the street. Luckily we had great sunny weather the last few days :)
