Flight back home - Lily kept us busy :)

well, while the flight going to Texas was fairly easy, Lily refused to sleep (other than the first 30 minutues) on the flight back home. Instead she was so excited and full of energy (was she on speed?), and all she wanted to do is play with the hair of the passenger in front of her, and practice her new found vocal skills - which unfortunatley sounded more like a monkey in the jungle :)
Oh, and not to forget the constant desire to practice standind and walking, which is nearly impposible on a sold out flight. Gave us a good taste of what the flight to East Coast in June will be. Oh boy !!!

Austin

We went for a couple of days to Austin to check it out (everyone told us it would be a great place to live, so we had to see for ourselves).

Austin was nice, and very green, and we saw lots of great houses, but we were not blown away. It is just hard to compare any other city to San Francisco, we are just so spoiled here, great location and great friends. Yet, we got to spend some fun evening with our old friend Marc and his wife Jenn and cutie Marli

Lily in Katy (Texas)

For more Katy picture go here

Lily had a great time with her Opa Sy and Uncle Jeff and Aunt Mona in Katy, TX. We got to spend lots of time with the whole family and also met more of jeff's family (brother Gary and his family, who invited us for amazing Italian home cooking, and his sister Chris and her family who invited us for an afternoon in the swimming pool)

We went to visit Lily's cousin Anthony in Houston, TX. This was our first time ever in Texas, and we were very curious :)

Free stand - 4 seconds!

She is getting the hang off it, slowly but surely. She is now able to free stand for 4 seconds, before falling on her cushy butt. Good thing babies wear diapers to cushion their butts, considering how many time she falls on it :) We still have random nights where she wakes up and just doesn't want to go back to sleep, and wants to play, and it is hard to figure out what the correct way to handle this is. We tried th patting on the back, and it doesn't work, one night I spent 2 hours trying to get her to fall asleep, leaving the room, letting her cry, going back in, until I finally gave up and picked her up to hold her and 5 minutes later she was sound asleep. We'll see what we'll do when it happens again. Otherwise the little munch is one healthy and happy camper, and pure joy.
